proportion & color. Images for the front of the garment and the back
must be on separate pages and labeled accordingly if they are different.
Remember, 10kapparel.com will not alter artwork in any way.

How do I match the color of my jersey.
Limitations of Process Color
10kapparel.com does not guarantee any color
matching even to a match to our own jersey. The
jersey blanks are printed with a sublimation process that uses silk
screened spot color inks. When we customize your jersey we use a process
color printing process. All professional printers will
tell you that there are limitations to using process color and one of
those is that you are not able to match spot or pantone colors exactly
for certain colors. Nearly 50% of all Pantone Spot Colors are not reproducible
in the process color.
While we can make an attempt to try to visually match a particular
pantone color or match a color to our jersey color, it is the customers
responsibility request that matching we do not automatically try to
match all blues on a jersey design to the jersey blue.
If its extremely important that a particular pantone color be matched
we do have a hard proofing process by which you can approve a color
before we do the final run. There is a 10$ fee for this proof plus shipping
costs. For information or to request a proof contact our semi custom
department at 1-800-317-7507.

How do I save my custom images
Bitmap Images
File image size needs to be at 100% when placed. NOTE: a 6” logo need
to be 6” in “Image Size” Resolution needs to be 200
Vector files (.EPS)
Vector EPS files will reproduce the best. If you are using Illustrator
or Freehand: Convert all text to “Outlines” or “Paths”. All imported
images must be embedded. Save as EPS.
If you have an Illustrator or Freehand file sent to you (that you did
not create), you may not be able to open the file to see what it looks
like, but you should be able to see it once it is uploaded in your Custom
Library!
Web Images
While it is easy to copy images off of Web sites, they usually do NOT
reproduce well. They look rough and pixilated. When they are enlarged,
they can look worse.
If you see an image on a Web site that you need, contact the webmaster
of the site and ask for one of the following to be emailed to you:
Vector Image - an Illustrator or Freehand file.
NOTE: We are not able to use Corel Draw files.eps a high resolution
raster file - .tif, .jpg, .psd
NOTE: Images need to be sized at 100%, 200 dpi.
You may not be able to open the file to see what it looks like, but
you should be able to see it once it is uploaded your Custom Library!
Use the “Add Notes” area to add your comments.
Photoshop Files
Photoshop files will reproduce well if they are prepared in this format:
File image size needs to be at 100% when placed. NOTE: a 6” logo need
to be 6” in “Image Size” Resolution needs to be 200
If you have a Photoshop file sent to you (that you did not create),
you may not be able to open the file to see what it looks like. You
can try to upload it, and it may be visible in your Custom Library.
If you are not successful, use the “Add Notes” area to let us know!
Other Formats
We do NOT support:
.cdr - Corel Draw
NOTE: Try saving as an .eps and Upload
.ppt - Power Point
.doc - word/writing programs
.xls - Excel
If these are the only formats you have, try to find help: talking to
your in-house graphic artist, or try a local print shop like Kinko’s.

HOW CAN I ENSURE AN IMAGE IS AN EXACT SIZE
I NEED?
Build your artwork in an external graphics program first.
Setup your file in the program of your choice with the image size specified
on our blank
selection page. Next to each garment is a specified image size for
that particular blank. Each blank has
a different image size, make sure your using the correct size!
Using the tools provided in the graphics program you are using place
all of your artwork on that one page. You will be able to use the ruler
tool in that program to determine physical sizes of logos.
Once you complete your design save the file as a JPG file at 150dpi.
Now you have a raster image at the exact print resolution we need at
that will fill the entire image space you can customize. Follow the
directions above to upload your custom image and place it on your jersey.
It should fill the entire image space and not allow you to move it.

Common problems that occur on an Apple Macintosh Computer
Unfortunately having two different personal computers (Macs and Pcs)
fighting for market share can cause some cross platform issues with
various programs. Our web site is optimized for Windows Internet Explorer
and it utilizes some features of Windows IE that are not currently functional
in the Mac version of IE.
As a result some features of our site
may not function as they appear they should or simply do not function
at all. If you are using a Mac and are encountering these problems we
encourage you to access our web site via a Windows PC.
If you are using a Windows PC and experiencing a similar error please
call us at 1-800-317-7507.
AFTER UPLOADING MY IMAGE IT DOESNT APPEAR
IN MY CUSTOM LIBRARY.
Most common cause of not seeing the preview of your uploaded
art is that the file you uploaded is an EPS file.
The Encapsulated Post Script File (EPS) has quite a few quirks involved
with it. While it provides the cleanest final printed image several
complications can occur when using an EPS file.
- There is text in the file that you entered in your Vector
program that have not been converted to outlines. Both Illustrator
and Freehand allow you to convert your fonts to outlines. The cause
of this problem is that the EPS format simply references the Font
file for the graphical information relating to the text instead of
including it in the file. If that same Font file is not installed
on our system it is not able to process the EPS file.
- There are raster images in you EPS file that are not embedded
into the EPS file. This problem is the result of something
similar to the font problem. The raster image is being called from
the original file instead of being in the EPS file. Again both Illustrator
and Freehand allow you to fully embed any external files into the
EPS file.
- To many vector points. If you have a very complex
vector file without raster images that exceeds 10 MB its likely you
have a very complex vector EPS file. This can cause problem when the
file is processed. We recommend converting any complex vector graphic
into a raster image (.jpg or .pds) and saving it at 150dpi at the
actual size you want to use it as.
Another common cause of this problem is a corrupted graphic
file.
Sometimes things occur in files that are unexplainable and cause files
to be unreadable on other computers. What we have found is that by re
saving the file and making a minute change that the problem typically
resolves itself. The easiest way to do this is open the file in the
program that created it and if it is an EPS file simply re save or export
the EPS file. If the file is a Raster Image (.JPG or .PSD) change the
image resolution to 1 pixel larger.
Example: If the image resolution was 150 dpi change it to 151 dpi.
Re save the image and re upload it that should resolve the problem.
